It's not just puppies...
Out into the big(er) world
Having constructed the play pen this evening, we opened the door to the puppy box and out they popped. Very scary , little brave Rosie then Green Genie were the first out much to the frustration of Blue who couldn't quite muster up the courage until pushed by Scarlet!

Now we are walking - of a sort, we need to sleep even more. At least the feeds are getting further apart but they are sucking more and more.

Blue Spot having breakfast
All getting some sleep
Even with all the afternoon snoozing they all kept quiet enough to allow George and I get a real 5 hours sleep, oh that felt good. Those poor people that have real babies....
They are all developing their own little personalities - mummies boy (Green Spot), tom boy (Red spot), the crinklie twins (Pinkand Gold spot), and exploring boy (Blue boy).

Nutty has had puppies

5 puppies, by caesarean on Friday evening. more to follow….. click here
After 18hours in labour and getting very uncomfortable, the fantastic Hartney Whitney vets performed a caesarean From the size of Nutty, the vet was expecting to remove 10 puppies... no just 5 chocky monsters, 2 boys and 3 girls!
All returned home on Friday evening to be nursed through the the night by George and Diane as I was away with work on the Solent! Diane you are a star, above and beyond the call of duty! Sleep was counted in minuted rather than hours.
Last night was my turn to sleep on the kitchen floor, helping the feeding every hour, luckily Nutty was starting to work out that she was responsible for the little horrors, when they cry, you feed. The stitches from the Cesarean are not helping her rolling on to her side to let them feed, but she is finding her own technique.
Spare a thought for Dizzy who is might confused by the whole invasion!
