After 18hours in labour and getting very uncomfortable, the fantastic Hartney Whitney vets performed a caesarean From the size of Nutty, the vet was expecting to remove 10 puppies... no just 5 chocky monsters, 2 boys and 3 girls!
All returned home on Friday evening to be nursed through the the night by George and Diane as I was away with work on the Solent! Diane you are a star, above and beyond the call of duty! Sleep was counted in minuted rather than hours.
Last night was my turn to sleep on the kitchen floor, helping the feeding every hour, luckily Nutty was starting to work out that she was responsible for the little horrors, when they cry, you feed. The stitches from the Cesarean are not helping her rolling on to her side to let them feed, but she is finding her own technique.
Spare a thought for Dizzy who is might confused by the whole invasion!
