I survived the mediastinotomy!

That's a hole cut between the ribs to get a good sample of the nasty! Again no pictures as I didn't have a handy nurse in the OR to take photos!

Mostly resting now, back home and in one piece.

Good effort - I think we'll survive without pics!

Try saying that when you've had a few!

I wish you all the strength you need to fight the bastard and let us know if Noni or I can help at all. Have they given you any good drugs we can try?

Yo! Gavin, My heart goes out to you… Superhuman! is one word for you alright even if you have one lung you can still hang with 95% of the riders here. You inspired me to get serious about my riding again… Some of my friends and I will be trying to get over to Frances next year to see Lances’ return… Louise is doing very well! She has change her whole life around. Diet, psychy, and physical activity. She has been on the hormone treatment prescribed by the doc at MD Anderson in Houston with no side affects and will see in feb how it working. Until then life goes on live strong… What we’ve learned from her trials is that 1. You have to grab the F’n tiger by the tail and shake the shit out of it! Which I know you’ll do. You’re a fighter. 2. Lean, read, know as much as you can about what’s going on with your body the doctors told us very little. 3. Be open to all types of solutions and digest what they have to say. It wasn’t until the three opinion when Louise got something that made sense to her. 4. After doing all this your heart will tell you what is the right treatment… I have a great read, Cancer: 50 Essential Things to Do: Revised and Updated Edition by Greg Anderson and O. Carl Simonton, it was the first book we read after getting Louise Ovarian cancer diagnosis. Okay that’s enough outa me for now… I’ll be back! You can count on that. Cheers
